The adventure follows the story of Shelia, an agent of the Supernatural Science Research Organization (SRO), as she embarks on a thrilling journey.

Set in the year 2020, Bright Memory revolves around the maiden adventure of a woman named Shelia. The SRO conducts research on ancient relic swords known as "Kanshou and Bakuya," which are discovered to possess a unique multilayered structure housing a mysterious substance called the "Soul of Jiu Xuan." This substance possesses the incredible power to revive the dead. However, a massive terrorist organization called the "SAI" seeks to seize this substance and has infiltrated the SRO research facility using advanced technology known as a "Quantum Transporter." In a twist of fate, Shelia activates the Quantum Transporter while attempting to calibrate its coordinates, transporting everyone nearby to the Floating Island - an airborne continent near the North Pole that has been dormant for over a millennium. To make matters worse, the Soul of Jiu Xuan reanimates the island's various beasts and corpses, all of which are now relentlessly pursuing Shelia.
