About Going Medieval Game
Stake your claim, build a fortress, and survive in a lawless post-calamity age in the colony building sim, Going Medieval.
Going Medieval is an exciting colony building simulation game set in a turbulent Medieval age. The game allows players to stake their claim in a world devastated by a rampant plague, where 95% of the global population has perished. As a survivor, it is your responsibility to help your people settle in a dangerous new land that has been reclaimed by nature.
One of the main objectives in Going Medieval is to construct a multi-storey fortress for your people. Starting with a small wooden hut, players can use simple-to-use 3D terrain tools to design, build, and expand their settlement into a colossal stone castle. The ability to create winding underground caverns and sprawling multi-story forts adds depth and variety to the gameplay experience.
However, building a fortress is not enough to ensure the survival of your colony. The world of Going Medieval is filled with external threats, including wild animals, bandits, and other dangers. To protect your people, you must build impenetrable defenses and traps. Researching, crafting, and equipping weapons and gear for your colonists will give them the upper hand in battle against unrelenting waves of attackers.
Survival is not just about defending against raids; your colonists also need protection from starvation and the elements. It is essential to stock up on supplies and build shelters to keep them fed and warm. Neglecting their basic needs can affect their emotional states, so it is crucial to maintain their well-being and ensure their wants and desires are met.
In Going Medieval, each villager has a unique backstory and personal agenda. Observing their behavior and relationships with others allows players to get to know their colonists on a deeper level. The game offers opportunities to grow the population of your settlement by helping strangers in dangerous situations or by taking in like-minded travelers. These interactions add depth to the gameplay and allow players to shape the story of their colony.
Scheduled for release on June 1, 2021, Going Medieval is being developed by Foxy Voxel and published by The Irregular Corporation. The game falls under the genres of Indie, RPG, Simulation, and Strategy. With its immersive gameplay, intricate building mechanics, and emphasis on survival, Going Medieval promises to provide an engaging and challenging gaming experience for fans of the genre.
