The game draws inspiration from the cooperative intensity of titles like "Lethal Company" and the atmospheric dread of the "Stalker" series, creating a unique blend of cooperative gameplay and survival horror. You and your companions assume the roles of private military contractors (PMCs), tasked with guarding the Scientific Institute for Research of the Zaslavie Exclusion Zone (SIRZEZ). This institute, built before the war, was dedicated to the study of anomalies and artifacts, strange objects and phenomena that defied the laws of nature. However, these very artifacts became a point of contention between international military blocs, each seeking to weaponize their power. This ultimately led to a devastating nuclear war, leaving the world in ruins and the Exclusion Zone a dangerous and unpredictable place.

As the sirens blare, signaling the imminent arrival of a nuclear bomb, you have a mere 60 seconds to gather whatever you can and seek refuge in the bunker. This is where your survival story truly begins. Each day, driven by necessity, you must venture out into the Exclusion Zone, scavenging for essential resources in procedurally generated locations. These locations include abandoned military bases, once symbols of power now crumbling under the weight of decay; research stations, remnants of a scientific ambition turned to ashes; radioactive wastelands, where the very air you breathe can kill you; and ruined cities, silent testaments to the horrors of war. Each location presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities, requiring careful planning and coordination among your team.

The Exclusion Zone is a place of secrets and deadly traps, where danger lurks around every corner. Radiation is just one of the many threats you will face. You will encounter other survivors, driven to desperation and willing to kill for food, resources, and a chance at survival. You will also encounter mutated creatures, twisted by the radiation and exhibiting unique and terrifying behaviors. And then there are the anomalies, unpredictable phenomena that defy explanation. No one truly understands how these anomalies work or where they originate. Some may offer temporary assistance, while others will tear you apart in an instant. However, anomaly areas often hide artifacts, rare and valuable items distorted by the anomalies and imbued with unique effects. These artifacts can be a game-changer, offering powerful abilities or valuable resources, but obtaining them comes with a significant risk.

The bunker is your sanctuary, your new home in this desolate world. It is a place of refuge, where you can regroup, plan your next expedition, and recover from the horrors of the Exclusion Zone. Expand your bunker room by room, installing generators powered by gas, solar energy, or even gnome labor. Build crafting stations to create essential tools, weapons, and supplies. Grow food to combat starvation and cook meals to restore your strength. Decorate your shelter with whatever you can salvage from your raids: a table, a dresser, a worn-out sofa, or even a cozy rug. These small comforts can make a big difference in your morale, helping you to maintain your sanity in the face of overwhelming despair. Don't worry about taking these items from the dead; they won't be needing them anymore.
