Order of Battle: Allies Resurgent is a DLC (downloadable content) game that is part of the Order of Battle series. It is the second chapter in a trilogy of DLCs that focuses on World War II from the Allied perspective. This particular DLC depicts battles in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and Europe from late 1942 to early 1944.

The campaign starts with the player leading US forces in Operation Torch, which marks the beginning of US involvement in the fighting in North Africa. The first battle is against Vichy-French units, and the player must prevail against veteran Axis forces in Tunisia.

After the initial battles in North Africa, the campaign shifts its focus to the advances of the British Eighth Army into southern Tunisia. The British aim to form a continuous front with the Allied forces that participated in Operation Torch and advance into Tunisia from the west. The campaign showcases the successful breakthrough at the Mareth Line, where the British push north.

In spring 1943, the player takes command of both the US and British forces in a combined offensive to retake Tunis and end the Axis presence in North Africa for good.

The last stage of Allies Resurgent shows the return of Allied ground forces to Europe. It begins with the amphibious invasion of Sicily and continues with the invasion of mainland Italy at Salerno. The player must defeat German defenses at the Volturno Line and ultimately take back Rome.

Allies Resurgent introduces new units for both the Allied and Axis countries. It also adds two new specializations and five new Allied commanders, providing players with fresh strategies and options to employ on the battlefield.
