In the realm of Skirmish, where cunning and strategy reign supreme, the Lighteaters emerge as a formidable faction, wielding arcane powers to outwit and overpower their adversaries. With this first faction DLC for Songs of Silence, players can harness the enigmatic abilities of the Lighteaters and unleash them upon their opponents.

The Lighteaters DLC introduces a wealth of new content, providing players with an expanded arsenal of strategic options. At the core of their power lies the Nexus capital, a sanctuary where Lighteaters recruit their forces and replenish their strength. Through the Nexus Recall strategy card, Lighteaters can swiftly teleport back to their capital, allowing them to cash in loot, bolster their ranks, or retreat from perilous situations.

Expanding the Lighteaters' strategic capabilities is the Nexus Gateway, a building upgrade that extends the reach of their Nexus, enabling them to recruit units and continue their relentless pursuit of the Hymn.

Two distinct hero archetypes emerge within the Lighteaters' ranks: Ancient Lighteaters, punished for their defiance against the Celestial Gods, and Gluttons, ever-ravenous beings commanding a formidable aura and amassing hordes of Gestalts under their banner.

A diverse array of new units joins the Lighteaters' ranks, each possessing unique abilities and strengths. Gladiators and Gardists stand as formidable melee combatants, while Mowls and Mawlings unleash their primal instincts in close-quarters combat. Lightstarved and Lesser Lighteaters provide ranged support, and Collectors and Shriekers excel in disrupting enemy formations.

The Lighteaters' strategic prowess is further enhanced by a suite of new strategy cards. Devour Light empowers them to drain the Hymn from enemy units, converting it into their own sustenance. Equivalent Exchange allows them to trade their own life force for powerful effects, while Monument of Silence grants them control over the battlefield, inhibiting enemy movement and spellcasting.

Battle cards provide Lighteaters with a versatile arsenal of offensive and defensive capabilities. Abyssal Maw unleashes a devastating area-of-effect attack, while Abyssal Howl weakens enemy units and makes them more susceptible to Lighteater assaults.
