The duration of Berserk Roaring Mode depends on the total number of matching animal spirits collected. Gathering five animal spirit items of the same type maximizes the duration of the mode. Collecting additional animal spirit items during Roaring Mode slightly extends the timer. Furthermore, a collected fish item releases an item instantly. Animal spirit items change after a set amount of time but can be stopped if the player approaches the item. After a mistake, spirit type of animal is unleashed, which will not transform into other animal spirits. If the animal spirit is left alone, it will disappear from the screen. The character never disappears during conversation, even if it would run out of time.
