At the heart of Transience's gameplay lies a deep weapon customization system powered by New World Systems (NWS), an industry-wide standard that allows for the interchangeability of weapon parts and attachments. Throughout the campaign, players will discover weapon attachments and stashes of weapons hidden throughout the environments, allowing them to modify their weapons on the fly. Transform an SMG into an assault rifle, or modify an assault rifle into a DMR. With 13 base weapons to discover, NWS ensures that players are always equipped with the tools they need to survive. The ability to customize weapons on the fly adds a layer of strategic depth to the game, encouraging players to experiment with different attachments and find the perfect loadout for each mission.

To aid in his survival, Eli will be equipped with the NNCG "Eclipse" Suit, developed by NOVASKIN. This advanced piece of technology was originally designed for the military, featuring lightweight armor panels attached to a form-fitting undersuit. Powered by N-caps, the suit provides superior protection for quick engagements, thanks to a layer of Non-Newtonian Colloid that temporarily provides reactive armor, and the suit also comes equipped with a number of advanced gadgets, including a distraction tool, a flash pulse for blinding enemies, and night vision. The Eclipse Suit is not simply a piece of equipment; it is an extension of Eli himself, providing him with the tools he needs to survive in a world where the odds are stacked against him.
